# Get a check

> Retrieve one of your past IP reputation checks in full.

Returns a stored check with the same body as
[Check an IP address](/api/ip-check/check-ip), including every source's
reading. Free — reading a result you already paid for costs nothing.

## Path parameters

  The `id` from the original check or from [List checks](/api/ip-check/list-checks).

## Errors

| Status | Meaning                                                                   |
| ------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `404`  | No such check. A check belonging to another account answers the same way. |
| `422`  | `check_id` is not a UUID.                                                 |
